Boost predictability of outcomes using collaborative workflow

Todays work environment looks a lot different than it used to.  There is more complexity, constant change, working from home, dispersed teams, blurred organisational borders, and need for faster and more flexible output.

Islands of people, work and information make collaboration a challenge.

Transaction based business systems may process your purchase orders and update your finance system efficiently but 60 percent of work today is “unstructured”, dominated by fluid, reactive, and ad hoc activities that employees manage independently.

How you get visibility on what’s really happening in your projects and initiatives, marketing campaigns, product development, quoting and approval processes can not only make or break your business, but the lack thereof can be costly.  Employees, on average, spend 36 percent of their day looking for and consolidating information. But 44 percent of the time, they can't find the information.  On the average wage of a worker, time and money is being wasted.

In this webinar, you will learn how collaborative work management (CWM) with workflow automation systems can be used to empower teams and roles across and within organisations in the supply chain.  Cost effective and relatively fast to implement, CWM supports dynamic information sharing, planning, executing, and reporting on work, to support transparency, agility, efficiencies, and predictive decision making in business.

      Executive Roundtable

Registered Practitioners & Associates across all four streams are invited to attend a roundtable discussion on supply chain resiliency. According to the APICS Dictionary, resiliency in the supply chain is defined as:

The ability to return to a position of equilibrium after experiencing an event that causes operational results to deviate from expectations. Resiliency is increased by strategically increasing the number of response options and/or decreasing the time to execute those options. Resiliency is improved by risk monitoring and control.

The executive roundtable discussion will be moderated by Simon Levy, CEO, Risk Management Institute of Australasia, former Head of Strategic Risk at Marsh Advisory where he led a national team of risk practitioners that provided robust and effective risk services to ASX50 and major brands globally. Before joining Marsh Advisory, he was an Enterprise Risk Manager at Australian Unity.

Following the discussion, there will be a tour through Schneider Electric's Innovation Hub.

Registrants outside NSW will be able to live stream and add inputs to the discussions; including polling for opinions and points of view.

      Two options for Registrants' participation:

Click here to register to the luncheon to secure your place

This event is awarded two continued professional development points. It is a free event that is exclusive to Registered Practitioners & Associates only.  The event will replace the June quarterly executive roundtables in each stream.

The Fresh Connection Global PRO Challenge 2021

Australasian Supply Chain Institute is offering The Fresh Connection Global PRO Challenge to be held in April/May 2021 and pre-competition training in March/April, as part of its Continued Professional Development Program.

The Fresh Connection Global PRO Challenge is designed as a unique Value Chain Management training event. The two types of teams that are eligible to join the challenge are:

          * company teams (members from the same company)

          * individual teams (members from different companies).

In teams of four, you will first take part in open training workshops (dates outlined in this listing) to help you prepare for the actual challenge. At the same time, you are benchmarked against other participating teams.

The training is online with our New Zealand Instructor (featured below) delivered via Zoom.

          How it works

From the very start, teams have to make the best strategic and tactical choices to save the virtual company, The Fresh Connection, from financial ruin.

Online instructor-led training consists of three rounds of The Fresh Connection for corporate teams of four with a fortnight's break in between each round, allowing for teams to submit their responses.

Extra sessions with the instructor are available on request at an additional cost.
